A colour of place
The focal point of the exhibition is Colour space, a series of paintings about relationships and interactions between masses of colour. In contrast with the previous show in Youth Gallery where colours were synthesised, their contexts were merged and space was disappearing, in Colour space, it is colour that is sought by places. ‘Paintings’ in their consideration of the above mentioned context of colour enter space, grasping painting in a complex way and confronting the meaning and construction of the painting. Brushes press against the mass of paint with the strength corresponding the character of the strokes. My painting technique was the most natural one: Strokes of the brush on these canvases are the simplest crosses, creating diamond shapes in central composition. The scope of constructive and deconstructive solutions is in direct proportion to the character of the layered paints, which are left in their natural state, best expressing their potential.

Těžiště série obrazů s názvem Barva místa je umístěno do kontextu vztahů barevných hmot a hledání jejich hranic. Tento vztah se přenáší skrze nátěrovou hmotu přirozeně ke konstrukci napnutého plátna a jeho formátu. Tím vzniká zpětná vazba, z níž vychází automatická kompozice a vzájemný dialog. Název série určuje prostor, který je v důsledku tahů ve střední části plátna. Tento prostor, jeho tvar je vytvořen z kompozice dané formátem a vydělením vztahů použitých barev. Série Barva místa vznikla jako opačná reakce na předchozí tvorbu vycházející z rekonstrukce grafu Ludwiga Wittgensteina, jenž je úvahou o rozvržení a následném slučování osmi základních barev.
